MÄZEN returns with an expanded summer edition, taking place on July 29 and 30 at Spreefeld Bootshaus, our home for this gathering, with a carefully curated program of artistic interventions, ambient and experimental listening sessions, tailored drinks, and natural wine.
Open to the public from 4:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
For this edition, the focus turns to contemporary art.
The showroom will present Hypertext and Hyperflesh by Colombian multidisciplinary artist Andrea Otoya Covelli, with interactive works exploring the body as a commodity in contemporary digital culture. Combining a ten-metre jacquard textile with a hand-operated scrolling mechanism, Hypertext draws a historical link between early weaving technologies and today's image-based economies. Reflecting on beauty standards, online visibility, and self-commodification, it examines how the body has become both a medium and a resource within systems of endless production and consumption. Hyperflesh explores the body as a site of desire, consumption, and social value.…
