Open call - DOCUMENTING PRESENCE

Placebo Collective, Louise Lavaud and Chantal Hüben are seeking FLINTA photographers for a collaborative residency in Berlin, September 2026.

We are developing a curatorial residency dedicated to documenting women's and FLINTA presence. Rather than applying to a predetermined theme, you will work alongside fellow photographers and curators to shape the exhibition's focus through collective research, exchange, and creative process. The residency culminates in an autumn 2026 exhibition.

THE INVITATION

We are building a community of photographers committed to documenting presence: making visible the quotidian, the intimate, the overlooked. We seek authentic and unmediated approaches to contemporary life: photography that bears witness to lived experience, that centers perspective from within rather than from without.

We are particularly interested in photographers with non-Western backgrounds, diasporic perspectives, and histories of migration. Your practice, your gaze, your story matter here.
